Announcement for Seattle Readers: Feldenkrais Classes in September
I will be teaching six weeks of Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement ("ATM") classes in Seattle starting September 11, 2012. Please contact me if you would like to attend. Here are the details:
When
Classes will be held Tuesdays evenings, 6-7pm, from September 11 through October 16.
What
The classes will focus on coordinating the hips with the low back and trunk. We will work on opening the hip joints, reducing unnecessary tension and stiffness, and developing power and coordination. This is an excellent class for athletes, people who spend a lot of time sitting, or anyone who wants to improve the way they move and feel.
The classes are based on the Feldenkrais Method. If you want to know what a Feldenkrais Awareness ATM lesson is like, you can do some free samples here.
Where
Classes will be held at Room 35 on the second floor of the brick building of the Phinney Ridge Community Center at 6615 Dayton Ave. N, Seattle.
(Please note that the community center has two buildings - a blue building at street level on Phinney, and a brick building down the hill with its own parking lot. You want to go to the brick building. Directions to the brick building are here.)
Cost
The cost is $10 per class or $8 per class if you want to pay for all six in advance. The classes build on a common theme but each can be done separately.
